Endogenous Karst can preserve indications of important charges within the geographical environment. Along the coastline of the Côte d'Albâtre a number of caves have preserved infillings indicative of significant climatic phases (ice-wedge features, gélifracts). Travertine deposits from springs have cemented slope accumulations typical of continental development. Palaeo-beach elements have also been preserved. Relic morphologies are mainly found in protected positions behind capes. The combination of these elements together with a "valleuse" profile study provide some new temporal and spatial information regarding Quaternary shoreline development.
