Breaks in growth and technical progress - 1974 marked a break in french growth, which was accompanied by a break in labor productivity. These breaks, which became more pronouced after 1979, received technological interpretations. In order to appreciate their validity, a detailed quantitative analysis is necessary. The recent evolutions must be relied with the long run ones, and the results got for France compared with thoses available for other developped countries.
