Industrial performance in 1982 - The annual survey of industrial firms has just given its first results. The industrial situation can now be looked at directly through the accounts of the firms. The results can now be added to those furnished by the national accounts, and which were presented in the preceeding article. The relaunching of consumption helps most of the sectors that are close to household demand. Sales and investments grow, but the weak adaptation of the national cupply and sometimes lack of competitiveness allow for further foreign inroads into the domestic market.
