The Evolution of the Competitive Public Sector - The public sector in France has now become broadly implanted in the area of competitive industry. Current economic surveys show that it is having little success in overcoming the difficulties which affect industry as a whole — a tight cash-flow situation, insufficient profits from sales, and severe foreign competition both on foreign markets as well as, more recently, on the domestic market.
