An Approach to Determining the Cost of a Child - Evaluating the cost of a child is far from easy. It is already difficult, if not impossible, to isolate the expenses devoted to the child alone. Moreover, the arrival of a child brings about changes in the living patterns of the family which it is difficult to take into account. An original approach to this question can be made. The cost of the child is defined as the extra expenses which the family must make in order to have the same living standard as a couple without children.
