Elements of townspeople «daily time» utilization by Yannick LEMEL Several very simple analyses suffice to determine the time spent on the various daily activities of a man or a woman. Sleep, household duties, work are the main categories used by I.N.S.E.E. in its 1966-1967 surveys on the use of time by adults living in French towns. When some one divides his daily schedule, he obeys physiological obligations social obligations and personal tastes. Man and woman have different lifepatterns even when both have jobs. The fact that children exist at home does alter woman's daily schedule but does not drastically affect man's.
