Notes on the socio-political structure and institutions of two tribes of the Ait Yafalman confederacy : the Ait Murghad and the Ait Hadiddu.

While the Ait Murghad are structurally and institutionally a somewhat run-of-the-mill Central Atlas Berber tribe the Ai't Madiddu are, to the contrary of very great interest because of the extreme singularity of some of their own social institutions, most particularly marriage and divorce. Their sequentary organization, furthermore, is not without interest as heir distributional pattern is of extreme reduplication and sicontinuity.Tandis que se rencontrent chez les Ait Murghad des institutions assez classiques, les pratiques matrimoniales chez les Ail Madiddu semblent uniques à travers le Maroc et peut être même à travers l'Islam.
