ONTOGENIC VARIATIONS OF SKIN COLOUR PIGMENTATION FROM BASQUE YOUTH. PRELIMINARY RESULTS Summary. — Ontogenic differences in human skin colour have been studied on a cross- sectional Biscayan sample of 1690 unrelated individuals between 8 and 19 years of age. Reflectance readings were obtained with an EEL spectrophotometer DS29 Unigalvo at 9 wavelengths from the left upper inner arm site and the forehead site. Reflectance variations have been studied by using univariate methods (ANOVA ONEWAY). Changes in pigmentation during growth in relation with puberty have been studied and a general trend for lightening on the arm and for on the forehead observed.Résumé. — On a effectué une étude transversale à propos des changements de réflectance de la...
