Abstract. — The teeth of six individuals from Grotta del Romito at Papasidero (Cosenza), dating back to the end of the Upper Palaeolithic (around 11,000 B.P.), were analysed from a metrical, morphological and pathological points of view. The group consists of three females (Rom 1, 4 and 5), two males (Rom 3 and 6) and one individual which is probably male (Rom 2). The individuals are adult (Rom 1, 3, 5 and 6) or subadult (Rom 2 and 4). The metrical values of the analysed teeth are within the variability of those of the homologous teeth of the Upper Palaeolithic specimens compared to them. Yet, we observed that they tend to fall within a well defined sector of this variability. We presure a probable endogamy which seems to have characterized...
