THE ETHNICAL STRUCTURE OF THE ITALIAN POPULATION THE ETRUSCANS Summary. — The author's thesis is that the population inhabiting presently Tuscany, a part of Umbria and a part of Latium represents the Etruscans. This population, due to the fact that it has never suffered invasions of other populations has kept, through the ages, its genetic and ethnic patrimony. The author has studied the most ancient human skeletal remains of this population, and the series of skulls generally admitted as to belong to Etruscans, and all the available measurements of the living's characteristics in order to substantiate his thesis.
