Summary This study presents the growth data measured semi-longitudinally on the head and face of Japanese trisomie 21 children. 1° For the maximum length of head, the subjects of both sexes present the mean values less than those of normal group children during the first 3 months of life, although their mean values are in the margin of normal variability (± 1 S.D.). Afterwards, until 6 years of age, the difference between the subjects and normal group children increases regularly. 2° The maximum width of head in both sexes shows the normal mean values at the begining of the growth.
