SUMMARY. — In view of teaching mathematics Blasius of Parma (+ 1416) in his lessons on natural philosophy used and commented on Thomas Bradwardine's Tractatus proportionum of 1328. He was not the first to use this typically medieval form for presenting mathematics, which seems to go against the Euclidian ideal of deductivity. Not only does the questio allow for pedagogical developments and refutation of arguments ; it has a more positive function : to distinguish and combine several points of view, particularly that of the physicist and that of the mathematician.
