Abstract : Agro-pastoral activities and landscape evolution in Corsica : Some management proposals. The land abandonment in Corsica resulted in formerly cultivated areas and some pasture land being abandoned. The present study therefore examined the impact of pastoral activities since 1950 on the evolution of the vegetation at two sites. The first of these sites had been totally abandoned (Zicavo forest), while the other had remained under pasture (Coscione plateau). To appreciate the changes that had taken place, a diachronic study was conducted based on four sessions of aerial photography and an analysis of historical data.
