La montagne ou les montagnes italiennes, identités et civilisation

Abstract : The concept of the mountain with reference to the Italian mountains. This article is an essay on the concept of the mountain and its various definitions according to whether it is considered in terms of administrative criteria, the use made of the area, or political aspects. With the help of examples taken from the diverse mountainous areas of Italy, the approach identifies relationships which are not only economic but also cultural and, in the final analysis, related to a way of life, relationships which may become linked on the basis of the uses that the different actors make of tbese areas. Thus, the relationships between resources and the urban and rural ways of life can be updated. The changes that CAP reform could bring about for these areas could be considered to be in line with the new possibilities associated with the fresh interpretation of the interrelationships between mountain identities, the development of resources by young farmers and the improved image that urban dwellers now have of mountain products and resources.Riassunto : La montagna oppure le montagne italiane.Questo articolo come un saggio sul concetto di montagna e delle sue molteplici definizioni die cambiano secondo che la montagna sia letta attraverso i criteri amministrativi, le attività degli attori o la politica. Questo approccio, basandosi sulla diver- sità delle zone di montagna italiane, mette in evidenza i rapporti non soltanto economici ma anche culturali e in ultima istanza di civiltà che possono intrecciarsi a partire dalle rappresentazioni che i differenti attori proiettano su questi spaziRésumé : Cet article se présente comme un essai sur la notion de montagne et ses multiples définitions selon que l'objet est appréhendé par les critères administratifs, les pratiques des acteurs ou le Politique. Cette approche, en s'appuyant sur la diversité des zones de montagne italiennes, dégage les rapports non seulement économiques mais aussi culturels et en dernière instance de civilisation qui peuvent se nouer à partir des représentations que les différents acteurs projettent sur ces espaces. Dès lors les rapports entre les ressources et les types de civilisation, urbaine et rurale peuvent être renouvelés. Les perspectives que pourrait offrir la réforme de la PAC à ces espaces pourraient s'inscrire dans les potentialités nouvelles des interrelations repensées entre les identités montagnardes, la mise en valeur des ressources par les jeunes agriculteurs et les représentations valorisantes qu'ont aujourd'hui les urbains des produits et des ressources de la montagne.Barberis Corrado.
