Vegetation and forms of the high northern slopes of the Sierra Nevada (southern Spain). Thanks to a close collaboration between geomorphologist and botanist, three types of forms have been studied in three types of environments. In the borreguils or hygrophile high-altitude grass-land shallow basins rising in tiers and humus-containing sheets of fallen earth genetically linked, are to be found. In this case, the biological processes are far more important than the mechanical processes. But they are residual forms now out of place under the general climate of the Sierra.
