Un alcance al tema de la cerámica hispana en Patagonia austral

Contribution to the subject of Spanish pottery in South Patagonia. The Spanish pottery present in two historic sites (16th century) in the Magellan region has been the subject of research since 1970. This evidence will be very useful to establish correlations (having typological as well as chronological implications) with certain areas in North and South America as well as the Caribbean. This is especially valid for the three major categories of the « olive jar » or botija which were abundantly exported from Spain to the New World from the 15th century to the 19th century.Une contribution au sujet de la céramique espagnole en Patagonie australe. La céramique espagnole de deux sites historiques (XVIOe siècle) de la région de Magellan est étudiée depuis 1970. Avec d'autres évidences provenant de l'Amérique du Nord, du Sud et des Antilles, elle peut être utilisée pour établir des rapports d'ordre typologique et chronologique. La « jarre à l'huile d'olive » ou botija, abondamment exportée de l'Espagne vers le Nouveau Monde et classée dans trois catégories principales qui datent du XVe au xixe siècle, est l'un des indicateurs les plus significatifs.La cerámica española présente en dos sitios históricos (siglo XVI) de la región magallánica ha sido tema de investigaciones efectuadas desde 1970. Junto con otras evidencias provenientes de diversas regiones de Norte y Sudamérica, y del Caribe, puede ser utilizada para el establecimiento de correlaciones con resultados tipológicos y cronológicos. Esto es especialmente válido para la « botija », abundantemente exportada desde España hacia el Nuevo Mundo en très categorias principales distribuídas entre los siglos XV y XIX.Ortiz-Troncoso Omar R.
