Incidences démographiques et foncières de la rurbanisation : le cas du Plateau de Champagnier (Isère)

Summary. — Farther than the traditional suburbs, a new way of occupying area half-rural, half urban is developing, called « rurbanisation ». Withing the scope of a collective study of this phenomenon on the Plateau de Champagnier, near Grenoble, the authors have pointed out a problematical theory and attempted a methodological approach. This article presents some results regarding two aspects of this rurbanisation: the demographical renewal of these communes formerly old and selective nature ; the transformation of the landed structure and its modalities. The two phenomena that go together, show a growing grasp of the agglomeration of Grenoble on this rural area more and more integrated with the neighbouring town.Résumé. — Au-delà des banlieues traditionnelles se développe un nouveau mode d'occupation de l'espace, mi-rural, mi-urbain, la « rurbanisation ». Dans le cadre d'une étude collective de ce phénomène sur le Plateau de Champagnier, près de Grenoble, les auteurs en ont dégagé une problématique et tenté une approche méthodologique. Cet article présente quelques résultats concernant deux aspects de cette rurbanisation : le renouveau démographique de ces communes jadis vieillies et son caractère sélectif ; la transformation de la structure foncière et ses modalités. Les deux phénomènes qui vont de pair, traduisent une emprise croissante de l'agglomération grenobloise sur cet espace rural de plus en plus intégré à la ville voisine.David Jean, Freschi Louis.
