The techouva: the new Jewish orthodoxy and internal conversion. Judaism more than any other religion has been affected by a wide movement of secularisation connected with its political emancipation. A return to Judaism however has occurred over the last few years. Although only a minority of Jews have come back to religion, Loubavitch Hassidics have anticipated a wider and heterogeneous movement of internal reconversion, taking place after most Jews have become secular.
