A case study in spacial segregation : disparity in spread of immigrant workers schoolchildren in Saint-Etienne region. About 20 % of the pupils in the primary education in Saint-Etienne region are immigrant workers' children. Their importance is higher in the state schools (22,6 % ) than in private schools (5,2 % ) and they are gathered in a few schools located either in old depressed urban centers or in transit cities.
