La politique urbaine stéphanoise

The urbanization of Saint-Etienne (in the sens of an objective process giving structure to space), while changing the visible aspect of the town without necessarily changing its characteristic view, maintains a social and economic type of development which has its own logic and fetters. It does so, though fifty years of town-planning (in the sens of social relationship) which gives support th the illusion of its own efficiency, by the means of the antagonistic views that it arouses at the level of surveys and schemes.Au travers d'un demi-siècle d'urbanisme (au sens de système souhaité de rapports sociaux) accréditant l'illusion de sa propre efficacité par l'intermédiaire des antagonismes qu'elle suscite au niveau des études et des projets, l'urbanisation stéphanoise (au sens de processus objectif de structuration de l'espace) tout en modifiant l'image de la ville sans nécessairement en changer l'image de marque, pérennise un type de développement socio-économique qui a sa logique et ses contraintes.Vant André.
