Principles of two-sided matching markets This paper's purpose is to assess the current state of the two-sided matching games (initiated by Gale and Shapley [1962]) aiming to model markets where each transaction implies a long relation with a partner. In a two-sided co-operative game, n+m players want to be matched with each other. Agents are indivisible sets of heterogeneous traits, and consequently the clearing walrasian process is no longer appropriate. Thus, a stable institutional algorithm has to coordinate the matches.
