Older workers transitions in the us labor market : a competing risks model Our paper is concemed with the study of changes in working status for individuals reaching the retirement age on the United States labor market. This essentially empirical work is based on panel study. The latter consist of 11153 individuals aged 58 to 63 and interviewed every two years between 1969 and 1979. The purpose of this study is to analyse the full-time work dura lions, conditional on some individual characteristics.
