Dynamic programming in fact makes it possible, at any given moment during operation of the planned process, to enumerate and specify alternative policies, and to work out optimal policy for the whole of the period planned. Being a superior technique of selection, dynamic programming is also apt for facilitating the task of the planner in allocating the National Product to the main aggregates, in allocating resources to regions and sectors and in choosing between competitives techniques.
