The Aurignacian is an archaeological entity defined by the co-occurrence of types of artifacts. Technological analysis of three French Aurignacian assemblages has demonstrated that a number of these discreet artifact types are part of a single system of bladelet manufacture. This paper presents a technological analysis of bladelet production of the Aurignacian site of Hayonim Cave, Israel, that demonstrates an overall similarity to bladelet production in the Aiirignacian of France.
