The Age of 'Ubeidiya Formation (Jordan Valley, Israel) and the Earliest Hominids in the Levant

The controversial age of the Homo erectus site Ubeidiya (Jordan Valley, Israel) is discussed. Together with lithological and geophysical arguments, the biochronological agreement with Eurasian and East African fossil communities and the similarity of the lithic industry with Olduvai Upper Bed II, put Ubeidiya at 1.4 m.y.L'âge controversé du site à Homo erectus d'Ubeidiyeh (Vallée du Jourdain, Israël) est discuté ici.
