Upper Palaeolithic assemblages were discovered in Wadi Sudr, western Sinai, in the course of a salvage survey. Five surface occurrences were collected and a single in situ site was tested. Typological and technological analysis revealed that all surface assemblages demonstrate possible affinities with the Levantine Aurignacian, while the in situ assemblage is apparently related to the Upper Palaeolithic blade/bladelet Ahmarian tradition.
