Sport as Auxiliary of Political Action. The Case of the Hezbollah in Beyrouth Franck Moroy Functionalism, and the instrumentalization of non political actor, is not the only analytical framework for the study of the relationship between sport and politics. Relying on the example of Aahed, a lebanese football club closely identified with the political party Hizbullah, the author shows the «political exchange» between the two institutions. Aahed is not only an arena where the Hizbullah acts ; it also provides the shiite party with new means and resources, and thus contributes to its strategie adaptation to the new political context of the post-civil war period. The study of relationship between football and politics shows, on the one hand, how sports and political logics are linked in Lebanon and, on the orther hand, how religious/political forces play a part in the working of the football game.Le sport comme adjuvant à l'action politique. Le cas du Hezbollah à Beyrouth Franck Moroy La nature de la relation sport/politique ne doit pas être uniquement appréhendée à travers la problématique de l'instrumentalisation du premier par le second. En s'appuyant sur l'exemple du club de football libanais Aahed, fortement identifié à l'ancien parti pro-iranien Hezbollah, l'auteur s'attache à montrer qu'il existe, au contraire, un véritable « échange politique » entre les instances sportives d'un côté et l'organisation partisane de l'autre. Loin d'être seulement le théâtre de pratiques politiques d'acteurs qui lui sont extérieurs, le Aahed fournit de nouvelles ressources d'action au mouvement chiite et participe ainsi à son adaptation stratégique à la configuration politique née de l'après-guerre civile. Cette relation équivoque, indissociable des mutations de la scène politique nationale après 1990, témoigne du caractère inopérant de certains découpages a priori lorsqu'on les projette sur la réalité libanaise. Ainsi, ceux qui consistent à concevoir le sport comme une sphère parfaitement autonome ou à considérer que les mobilisations permises par les groupements associatifs s'opposent nécessairement au champ de la politique professionnelle.Moroy Franck.
