«Between Ourselves» and In Front of Others. The Weekly Act-Up Paris Meeting. Janine Barbot [113-123] On the basis of a series of ethnographic observations, this article analyses the different ways in which publicity constraints appear in a singular space : the weekly meeting of Act-Up, the association fighting against AIDS. The conditions for the admissibility or inadmissibility of talking about oneself, just as for the presence of a third party, under the stabilised forms of the new, the spy and the camera, reveal the constraints which surround discussions in this space which is both public and «between ourselves». Mainly oriented towards the production of speeches, we see the speakers giving themselves over the staging of what they consider to be the requirements that allow access to wide publicity. Recourse to the stance of a journalist, this third party not present but invoked, allows them to anticipate and adapt to the conditions for conveying and translating their action to a wide public.Entre sol et face aux autres. Janine Barbot [113-123] À partir d'une série d'observations ethnographiques, cet article analyse les différentes modalités d'apparition de contraintes de publicité dans un espace singulier : la réunion hebdomadaire de l'association de lutte contre le sida Act-Up Paris. Les conditions de recevabilité ou d'irrecevabilité de la parole sur soi, tout comme la présence d'un tiers, sous les formes stabilisées du nouveau, de l'espion et de la caméra, révèlent les contraintes qui encadrent les interventions dans cet espace à la fois public et entre soi. Tournés principalement vers la production de discours, on voit les intervenants se livrer à la mise en scène de ce qui constitue pour eux les exigences qui conditionnent l'accès à une large publicité. Le recours à la figure du journaliste, cet autre tiers absent mais convoqué, leur permet alors d'anticiper et de s'accommoder aux conditions de transport et de traduction de leur action auprès d'un public élargi.Barbot Janine.
