Through the exemple of the Russian philosopher Nikolai Berdiaev by a surprisingly large and diverse audience, this article tries to characterize the current atmosphere of reevaluation and revalorisation of the «Russian past» (the one before the 1917 Revolution) in the ex-USSR. In the begining of the Perestroika, the glasnost gave back the Russian society a legitimate acquaintance with a culture long withdrawn from the collective historical conscience : the one of the emigration and above all the one of the «first wave».
