The Unofficial Religious Groups in the Soviet Society, by Kathy Rousselet In the Soviet Union, the religious landscape has changea to a significant extent. Considering the fact that the ecclesiastical hierarchies are unable to join the perestroika process, unofficial movements set up inside and outside the established churches. Oecumenism particularly seems to get a good position and there are emergent religious movements which are more or less related to Christianity. Most of these groups show an apocalyptic concern and think that a spiritual revival can only safeguard the country from a disaster.
