The experiment studied the relative difficulty of the passing from an affirmative sentence to those sentences belonging to the interrogative-passive-negative group, using the minimum time for transformation as an indicator. The results allow the construction of a semi-order, the first group of which includes the passive-negative, negative and passive voices ; the second one the passive, interrogative-passive-negative and interrogative voices and the third one the passive-interrogative and interrogative-negative voices.
