Alain Guerreau. Climate and vine-harvests (19th-20th centuries) : revisions and complements. Since 1870, various studies have taken series of dates of vine-harvests as an indicator of the evolution of the climate. More recent works on the history of vine-growing (M. Lachiver), on the agrometeorology of the vine (A. Carbonneau), and in particular, the major quantitative reconstruction of the Swiss climate since 1525 by C. Pfister, call for a reconsideration of these numerical series.
