The notion of change in the" The Republic" and "Laws" involves historical, social, political and philosophical aspects. A close analysis of these different fields enables Plato to choose politics as a way and means of change in society. He has been disappointed by unhappy experiences. In this respect, he blames the social short comings prevailing in the Athenian society on the political regimes of that epoch. In fact, each regime seeks to transform society according to the ideal out forward. Thus social change is seen as political solution.
