Stemming from the May 2010 Government, Global Poverty and God’s Mission in the World evangelical declaration (and consultation hosted at Wheaton College that originated the declaration), this course will explore four broad module categories that emerged: Theology of Poverty in Today’s World, How Christians Engage Government, Government Initiatives against Global Poverty, and Christian Advocacy on U.S. Foreign Assistance. Each module will include a robust exploration of: 1) important topics; 2) contentious questions; 3) key resources; and, 4) questions for reflection and action.https://place.asburyseminary.edu/theologyofpovertysyllabi/1002/thumbnail.jp
