Sanskrit Loanwords in Between Monggolian and Manchu

蒙古语和满语作为关系密切的北方民族语言,在历史的演变中不断吸收周边各语族词汇,其中以佛教文化为线索引入的梵语借词颇具特色.以往研究认为,满蒙语中引入梵语借词在13世纪蒙古帝国崛起之后.经过笔者整理前人研究成果发现,这一历史过程要更早至8世纪左右的突厥时代.Mongolian and Manchu,languages that are mother tongues of two neighboring northern nationalities and have close relation with each other,absorbed words from the language branches around them along the historical evolution and distinctively borrowed words from Sanskrit during the spread of Buddhist culture.Previous researches indicated that these loanwords appeared after the rise of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century.Now my investigation into previous studies brings a discovery that the historical process of borrowing words from Sanskrit can date back to the Turkish Era in the 8th century.25-94
