The role of circulating CD4~+CXCR5~+FoxP3~+ follicular regulatory T cells in rheumatoid arthritis patients

Objective: This research was conducted to examine the expression and significance of circulating CD8~+CXCR5+Fox P3+ Follicular regulatory T(TFR) cells in Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) patients.We aimed to clarify the role pf TFR cells in the pathogenesis of RA.Methods: We measured the level of TFR, follicular helper T cells(TFH) and regulatory T cells(Treg) levels in the peripheral blood of RA patients and healthy controls by FCM. The composition of TFR cells was analyzed according to the expression of CD45 RA and Fox P3. RA related clinical parameters were collected and their relationship with circulating TFR cells was also analyzed.Results: There was a significant increase of TFR cells in the peripheral blood of RA patients compared with healthy controls. The frequency of TFR was inversely correlated with related clinical parameters of the patients.
