Background: Mitochondrial biogenesis is crucial for the maintenance of mitochondrial function and cellular homeostasis. C1q/tumor necrosis factor-related protein-3 (CTRP3) is an adipokine that owns multiple functions on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
