In order to record the movements of mandible, two of Six-freedom displacement measurement methods are designed. In the first method, three laser beams that form Descartes ' frame and a half-transparent screen are adopted. In the second method, two superposed grid screens and two laser beams are adopted. A CCD video camera is used to take pictures in both methods. The approaches can be used to record the positions and the attitudes of a rigid body continually, and has the characters of simple, real time, and no errors accumulation. Conclusion: The methods can be used in dentistry for record the movements of mandible.EI04537-5401
