Presently the 3D geological model is constructed mainly from sections. Automatic methods usually demand that the sections be approximately in parallel and the profiles of geological bodies in the neighboring sections have no dramatic difference. This paper proposes a method for interactively constructing 3D geological models, capable of handling the cases where the normal conditions are not satisfied. The method uses the common algorithm of rasterizing and an algorithm of vectorization coming from Marching Cubes to realize the inter-transform between the vector and raster. The method improves the performance of 3D geological editing while maintaining the consistency of model topology.EI071544-15481
