From the viewpoint of world heritage, the geological heritage's functions of science research, science-popularization, education, sightseeing, aesthetics and enlightening are discussed on the basis of the geological heritage's scientific and aesthetic values. With the advancement of modern tourism, the geological reasons why natural beauty and landscapes came into being become one of important contents of science-popularization and education. The usual sightseeing activities slowly change to the science-popularization and education tourism.
