The morphology of self-assembled monolayers of mercapto methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (MPEG) and its complex film with poly(acrylic acid) were investigated with atomic force microscopy. The roughness of the complex film was affected by the concentration and the ionic strength of PAA solution, and some rougher complex film were formed in a solution with high concentration of PAA and stronger ionic strength.EI02145-1483
