The application of light scattering probe with organic dyes to the determination of protein, nucleic acids and metal ions were reviewed on the basis of the work of our research group. The experimental phenomena were explained using the principle of light scattering and the theory of resonance enhanced light scattering of organic dyes. The structural characteristics of the potential dye-probes for protein analysis and nucleic acids analysis were foreseen.EI0101495-14972
