Cu-Ni composite nanoparticles were successfully prepared by chemical reduction with hydrazine hydrate in ethylene glycol. XRD, TEM, EDS were employed to characterize the Cu-Ni composite powders. Effects of molar ratio of Cu2+ to Ni2+ on the composition of the product and the mass concentration of PVP on the size of the Cu-Ni composite particles were studied. The molar ratio Cu to Ni of the product increased with the increasing of that of Cu2+ to Ni2+ of the reactant, and the size of the Cu-Ni composite nanoparticles decreased with the increasing of the PVP.
