A tree-branch-like structured ACNTA was obtained by pyrolysis of FePc under Ar ambient. This special pattern of ACNTAs was formed by self-assembling of ACNTAs along the cracks. During growth, the carbon nanotubes (CNTs) along the fissure could receive more catalyst resource and be deposited with more carbon than others, which enables ACNTA cracks to continue to develop. The pattern of the tree-branch-like structure is formed at angle of 60?? or 120?? between the branch connections.EI01143-1454
