The solvent extraction of gold and the structure of the organic phase were studied by FTIR, 31P-NMR and the dynamic light scattering (DLS) spectroscopy. The results show that the water content and the size of the reversed micelles increased with the increase of gold content in the organic phase. The P double bond O stretching decreases, while the 31P signal shifts to upfield. The increase of the surfactant cation cause the generation of the third phase.EI04461-4673
