A new method of moire interferometry is proposed in this paper to obtain the strain fringe pattern in real time. The specimen grating is illuminated by dual beams whose optical path-difference is larger than the coherence length of the laser. The diffractions of the grating are sheared by a glass wedge to fulfil the optical differentiation. The principles based on wavefront analysis are shown and an experimental verification is reported.OpticsSCI(E)EI3ARTICLE151-581
