A Study on Anti Trafficking Law in Nepal

Human trafficking is a serious crime against humanity a well as a gross violation of human rights. It deprives from living with full freedom and selfdignity. It has becomeworldwide problem, so world community has made many efforts to protect, prevent and combat to human trafficking crime. Nepal has been heavily suffered by it. The main causes of human trafficking in Nepalare including poverty, un education, unemployment, lack of awareness, socialdiscrimination, open India-Nepal border, unregulated migration however, several efforts have been made to control and prevent problem of trafficking in persons, by imposing legal instruments but result not satisfactory.The competent and effective legal instrument is required to control and combatagainst human trafficking. Co-ordination, cooperation among law enforcement agencies as weU as civil society and NGos, strengthened capacity of related agencies,promoting awareness against crime, making good border regulation management mayimprove the situation.This thesis stressed to analyzing the legal framework, judicial decision trendespecially in human trafficking cases. It has covered introduction, conceptualframework, historical development, legal framework, enforcement mechanism,problems and present situation, judicial trends and findings, conclusion and policysuggestion.
