A system model of underwater Terrain-aided Navigation (TAN) is introduced in the paper, which is based on the simulation platform with Visual C++. Five factors are considered in its construction: the real environment similarity, all kinds of experiment demand, calculation speed, extensibility, interface and result representation. The platform is divided into 8 modules to get good extensibility. Visual C++ is valuable for user to get faster computing speed and better interface. The modals are well designed to simulate real environment. The simulation results show that the platform runs efficiently and can provide a great number of experiment methods for matching algorithms.EI
