The purpose of this study was to validate the Chinese version of the Impulsive/Premeditated Aggression Scale (IPAS). Participants (N = 651) from three universities in Beijing, China filled in the IPAS, and a subsample (n = 290) also completed the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (BIS), Aggression Questionnaire (AQ), and Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ). Principal component analyses and confirmatory factor analysis revealed reliable impulsive aggression (IA) and premeditated (PM) aggression factors of the IPAS. Concurrent and construct validity of IA and PM aggression were fair as shown in the correlation analyses with AQ, BIS, and CTQ.
