This study focuses on Korean Public Land Development to evaluate its achievement and limits finally to draw reference for current China's land development. It proved effective to expedite large scale land development in short period of time, whereas resulting in some problems including shrinking effect of housing supply by private sector, limited role in redistribution of development gains and unstable legal status. In summary, presence of public agency in compulsory purchase of land, importance of well-organized legal system, effectiveness of public land development for large scale land development and independence of developers from local government or local interests are presented as lesson from Korean experience.http://gateway.webo...
